Continuing his mission as the ambassador of Armenianness of «Teryan Cultural Center», he presented himself responsibly in Vienna, the capital of Austria. On October 16, at the initiative of the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Armenia, a one-week exhibition of traditional Armenian costumes and carpets of the «Teryan Cultural Center» was opened at the United Nations office in Vienna: «The Future of the Past. Empowerment of women entrepreneurs, supporting the revival of traditional art of Armenia» under the title. In the framework of the event, the traditions of traditional Armenian costumes and the restoration of folk handicrafts related to them were presented in order to preserve the rich cultural heritage for future generations.
The originality and features of Armenian embroidery art have been preserved among the masses of the people for centuries. This art is characterized by unique ornaments, decorations, performance techniques, colors and style. Armenian costumes are characterized by original and rich forms of colors and ornaments, which form a complete harmony.
Traditional costumes, carpets and ornaments have their own line in the rich Armenian cultural heritage, and nowadays, it is even more difficult and responsible to present them properly. The handwriting of «Teryan Cultural Center» is unchanged in this matter, and the invested efforts are permanent for the next generations. «Teryan Cultural Center» and the Taraz & Art brand, as the best example of patriotism and philanthropy, did not remain unparticipated in helping and integrating the people of Artsakh. The center united the people of Artsakh by organizing design and decorative applied art courses for them.
The three-month courses are held in the following specialties: graphic design, web design, psychology and philosophy of design. Including also teaching of handicrafts, woodworking, silversmithing, carpet and carpet making, needlework, pottery, clothing modeling. One goal is to help displaced compatriots learn a new profession. Thus contributing to their becoming competitive specialists and easier integration into the new lifestyle. After the end of the courses, the participants will go to work at the «Teryan Cultural Center».
