On 21-22 April 2-21 an exhibition-contest of young artists dedicated to the Earth Day and peace was held at “Arev Art Gallery” exhibition hall.

The event was entitled “Armenian Culture: PEACE “.

Artworks of around 20 young artists were exhibited.

The jury was chaired by LILIT MELIKYAN, painter-designer, candidate of Art Sciences.

Lilit is not only a famous painter, but also a professional designer. She has taken part in multiple exhibitions in Armenia and outside of it. Due to her imagination the Armenian ornaments and rug patterns appeared in textile fashion and are in great demand.

She is an artist, a devoted professional.

With the chairing of L. Melikyan an objective and unbiased selection was made. Prizes were awarded in three categories։ The event provided the opportunity to appreciate and to encourage young artists.

On 12 November 2019 “Miss International” international beauty competition took place in Tokyo, capital city of Japan.

“Miss International” is considered as one of the 4 best competitions of the world.

In addition to being the modeling beauty competition, it is also aimed at the development of tourism.

The activities of preselection phase of the representative from Armenia took place in Yerevan.

Painter-designer, candidate of Art Sciences LILIT MELIKYAN was the Honorary Chairman of the jury. Lilit is one of the experienced professionals in fashion industry. She is a textile designer. She had various exhibitions in Armenia and different countries of the world.

“MEGERIAN CARPET” Company presents the art of Armenian carpet weaving in different countries of the world.

Due to the company, a brand-new sense was given to the traditional Armenian carpets. Natural methods of dyeing woolen threads were successfully introduced in Armenia․

The produced carpets completely preserve the traditional style and design of the Armenian carpets.

In 2018 the company organized the contest entitled “The Carpet of the 21st Century” and the President of the Jury Committee was LILIT MELIKYAN, painter-designer, candidate of Art Sciences. Among the members of the Jury Committee was Ashkhunj Poghosyan, member of Scientific Council of Gavar State University, candidate of Historical Studies and Associate Professor. The winners of the contest were awarded prize money.

“Traditions and Modernity” Educational-Cultural Non-Governmental Organization aims to preserve the vitality of traditional culture and the implementation of educational and cultural youth programs, the implementation of cultural educational activities, the sowing of traditions and popularization of culture in the youth, the development and implementation of programs to preserve the Armenian identity in the educational and cultural spheres.

On February 10-12, 2020 a competition-festival entitled «Jean Jansem in the Eyes of the Armenian Youth» was held in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, for young creators, initiated by the «Tradition and Modernity» Educational and Cultural Non-Governmental Organization.

LILIT MELIKYAN, candidate of Arts Sciences, painter-designer, Founder and director of “TERYAN CULTURAL CENTER” NGO was in the jury. Being a multi-talented and leading specialist in the field with a huge success, Mrs. MELIKYAN gave precise instructions to all the participants to work more effectively in the future.

On 11-14 June 2019 an extraordinary exhibition-contest entitles “Games of Brain with the Eyes of Idea” was held in the capital city of Armenia, Yerevan.

“ArtZ” Cultural Educational Non-Governmental Organization initiated the exhibition-contest for the young creators, where they should have designed the mannequins. The assignment did not have any limitations, the young designers were given the possibility of infinite imagination and over 15 days of deadline. The contest was a unique opportunity for those who were not afraid to express the creative ideas of masterpieces. The participants were free in their choice – they could paint, design or stitch on the mannequins.

The competition phase was extraordinary itself. The mannequins and prize money for the top three winners were provided with the support of PYUNIK charitable foundation. The invited jury committee consisted of famous artists evaluated and chose the winners in front of the guests. The choice was made with the presence of participants and the prizes were awarded at the same time. The three prizes winners were the participants from the regions of Armenia.

Among the jury members was LILIT MELIKYAN, candidate of Art Sciences, painter-designer, Head of Teryan Cultural Center․ The impartial jury expressed its high appreciation for the organization of the innovative exhibition-competition, and expressed hope that such competitions will be continuous.

“Games of Brain with the Eyes of Idea” exhibition took place four days with lots of meetings, visits, media covers, and the mannequins were exhibited once again in 2021.
